Description

(Warner Brothers Studios, 1942) Rare original production drawing of Daffy Duck from Daffy's Southern Exposure, showing the title character with a spoonful of beans provided to him by a fox and weasel. Accomplished in graphite on untrimmed 12 x 9.5 animation paper. Image measures 5.25 x 4. In fine condition.

A rare wartime production drawing from a cartoon that features topical humor of the era, including a poster encouraging the purchases of war bonds to finance the U.S. involvement in World War II. The film also marked the first time that Warner Bros. used the tune of the wartime rally song ‘We Did It Before (And We Can Do It Again)’ as background music in a cartoon.
