LS signed “Z. Taylor, Lt. Col., 1st Infy, Comdg,” one page, 7.75 x 9.75, July 3, 1830. Addressed from Fort Crawford, a letter to Col. R. Jones, in full: “I do myself the honour, to transmit you herewith a Muster Roll of the Field & Staff for May & June last, our Semi-annual Muster Rolls of Companies A, D, F, & G for the half year ending 30 June 1830, together with a return of the troops at this Post for the last month. I at the same time acknowledge the receipt of the following orders during the last month viz — General Orders No. 19 - 20, 22, & 23. Dept. Orders No. 18, 19, 20, & 21, & Dept. Spl. Order No. 13.” In very good to fine condition, with mottled toning, slight edge chipping, and archival tape repairs to the back of the fragile folds.
