Handwritten 'carte postale' to "Monsieur Alliou," at the office of his publishers, "Hetzel, 18 rue Jacob, Paris," in part (translated): "I am returning to you, corrected, the delivery 24 which had been forgotten in the last shipment (second part of the Travel Scholarships). Today you are sending me the first deliveries (chapter three) of the first part. But I do not have to review them, and they must be conform to the first volume which appeared." Addressed on the reverse in Verne's hand. In fine condition, with a small stain to the right edge. Travel Scholarships was serialized in the Magasin d’Éducation et de Récréation from January 1 to December 15, 1903, and published in book form by the publishing house of Pierre-Jules Hetzel in two volumes on July 1, 1903, and November 9, 1903; Auguste Alliou was a Hetzel employee responsible for layout.
