Manuscript DS, signed “George R.,” one page, 9 x 13.75, July 11, 1826. Document from King George issued to the Sheriff of Somerset, granting remission of a fine to John Haynes and ordering his release from jail. Signed prominently in the upper margin by King George IV. In very good condition, with creasing, staining, toning, and many old repairs on the reverse, none of which adversely affects the large, bold signature.
