ALS signed “Henry,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 4, 1980. Handwritten letter on art and painting, in part: "Whoop-la! You overwhelm me with your gifts. Today came the...painting. You are the artist...I am just a pretender. Every one of your paintings sings or dances or makes merry. You can draw too—I only can fake it. But for the last few days I have been painting—4 or 5 or 6 so far. All crazy—no rhyme nor reason. Yet I like them better than earlier ones." In fine condition, with light creasing.
