Description

The Wright Flyer takes off from Kitty Hawk

Iconic 5.75 x 4.25 cardstock photo of the Wright Brothers’ first flight, captioned at the bottom "First Man-Flight, December 17, 1903, Kitty Hawk, N. C.," signed in the lower left in fountain pen by Orville Wright, who is shown piloting the aircraft as his brother, Wilbur, watches nearby. The image was famously captured by photographer John T. Daniels, who used the Wright’s Gundlach Korona V. Nicely double-matted and framed to an overall size of 11.5 x 9.75. In fine condition, with some fading to the moderately contrasted signature.
