Bold, full Charles Darwin autograph from the 'Descent of Man' period

Bold ink signature, "Charles Darwin, March 25, 1870,” on an off-white 4 x 2 slip, handsomely matted and framed with a portrait and nameplate to an overall size of 21.75 x 17.75. In very good to fine condition, with edge creasing, light soiling, and a central vertical fold. During this period Darwin was working on The Descent of Man, published in 1871, which was the first work in which he used the term 'evolution.'
