Letter to Belgian politician André de Staercke, in full: "Now that I have returned from Bermuda I want to tell you how much I cherish the unique and historic medal which you were so good as to give me on my birthday. Please accept my warm thanks. It was so nice to see you at the party. Clemmie and I send you our good wishes." He adds a handwritten postscript, initialed "W.C.," in full: "P.S. Ismay thought it might be a good thing if we had a talk in the near future. Ask him about it." In fine condition.
