Very rare original memorial program for “Prince Rogers Nelson, (June 7, 1958 - April 21, 2016),” which was held at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Minnetonka, Minnesota, on May 15, 2006. The bifold program, 4 x 9.75, contains a summary of Prince’s faith as a Jehovah's Witness, six key Bible verses, and the names of the service’s songs, ‘He Will Call’ and ‘See Yourself When All Is New,’ officiator (Stephen Campagna), and interviewer (Larry Graham), the latter a friend and mentor of Prince who introduced him to the faith in the late 1990s. The back cover bears a printed quote from Prince: “If I were to ever write down my life story, I could truly say with all the fame and glory, I was just a piece of clay in the potter’s hand.” The program includes its original song lyric insert. In fine condition, with light edgewear and some spots to the back cover. These programs are exceedingly rare, with this being the first example we have ever offered at auction.
From the Prince collection of Christopher Gaither and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
