Uncommon athlete's badge for swimming issued at the London 1948 Summer Olympics. Bronze, measuring 38 mm x 48 mm, with a 33 mm long ribbon. The badge depicts the bridge and palace of Westminster with raised text, "XIV Olympiad, London 1948," and the Olympic rings below; the orange ribbon attached at the bottom is imprinted with faint text: "Swimming." In fine condition, with light soiling and fading to the ribbon.
