Limited edition official ceremonial Wilkinson dagger made for the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics, which marked the 100th anniversary of the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens, the inaugural edition of the modern Olympic Games. The cross-guard measures 4″ and the blade measures 10.5″ in length from tip to pommel. The blade is handsomely engraved on either side with scrolls listing all of the Summer and Winter Olympiads dating from 1896 to 1996. The crossguard is formed with laurel wreaths and the pommel end features a laureated globe. In fine condition. Includes its original leather-bound Wilkinson Sword carrying case.
