ALS in French, signed “Eug. Delacroix,” one page, 5 x 8, April 15, 1857. Handwritten letter to Monsieur Goldschmitt, expressing regret that they were unable to meet. In part (translated): "If by any chance you consider returning and visit me, I would kindly ask you to let me know the time and the day. I will only remain in Paris until Sunday." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope, addressed in Delacroix's hand.
