Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1731-1811). ADS, signed twice, “Wm. Williams, one of the School Com'tee,” one page, 7.5 x 8.75, May 7, 1771. Handwritten document directing John Lawrence to pay "the sum of seventy nine pounds, fifteen shillings, & eight pence S. Mon. being the school money belonging to the town of Lebanon." Signed at the conclusion by Williams, who also pens and signs a receipt on the reverse. In fine condition.
