Two uncommon publications: a string-bound booklet entitled "An Address to the People of the United States, From George Washington, President," which contains his 'Farewell Address' from September 17, 1796, announcing his decision to not seek a third term as president, 21 pages, 5 x 8, published in New-Castle [Delaware] by Samuel and John Adams in 1796; and a church pamphlet for a service honoring "The One Hundredth Anniversary of the Inauguration of George Washington, April 30, 1789," set forth by the Bishop of the Diocese of New York and held at St. Paul's Chapel on April 30, 1889, 12 pages, 5.75 x 8.75, printed James Pott & Co., of New York in 1889. In overall very good to fine condition, with staining and edge wear to the early address.
