Over the course of two days in July 1993, Anton Corbijn photographed Nirvana for the November 1993 issue of Details magazine and for a run of DGC Records promotional photos. The following month Corbijn was chosen to direct the music video for ‘Heart-Shaped Box.’ Following the breakthrough success of their second full-length album Nevermind, Nirvana released the highly anticipated In Utero in late September of 1993; the record quickly made its way to the top of the Billboard charts and has since sold 15 million albums worldwide. A rare and highly displayable keepsake from grunge rock’s most identifiable band.
