Italian composer (1857-1919) best known for his operas, particularly the beloved repertoire staple 'Pagliacci.' AMQS on an off-white 4.75 x 3.5 card signed in ink, "R. Leoncavallo," who adds two musical bars from his opera “La Boheme” and above writes “Mimi Pinson,” the title he subsequently gave to La Boheme to distinguish his version from Puccini’s opera work of the same name. Leoncavallo dates the upper portion to Vienna on May 27, 1897, only 21 days after the premiere of this opera. In fine condition.
