Magnificent pair of vintage matte-finish 6 x 8.25 portrait photos of the royal couple, which depict the queen in a white satin evening gown wearing the Rib and Star of the Order of the Garter, the Vladimir Tiara, and a necklace formerly belonging to the late Queen Mary, and Prince Philip seated and dressed in his Admiral of the Fleet uniform, both are affixed to their original 7.25 x 9.75 studio mounts, which are individually signed in the lower border in ink, “Elizabeth R., 1957” and “Philip, 1957.” The reverse of both mounts bear the photographer’s pencil notations. In overall fine condition, with scattered light silvering to the Philip portrait.
