Romanian classical pianist and composer (1917-1950), who died of Hodgkin's disease at the age of 33. Rare ALS in French, one page, 5.75 x 8.25, May 10, 1949. Handwritten letter to the (unnamed) Swiss musician Alfred Pochon (1878-1959), thanking for sending him an edition of Bach. In part (translated): "Can I ask you to lend it to me for 10 days?...I finished an Andante for wind quartet and am right in the middle of ‘melodies.’ We were hoping to see you all at Easter." In very fine condition.
