Immensely rare UK album sleeve for Led Zeppelin’s 1973 album Houses of the Holy, which has been signed on the front cover in blue ballpoint by Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham. The consignor notes that the autographs were obtained in early May 1977 when the group returned to London’s Gatwick airport for a break from their final American tour. In fine condition. The record is not included. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
Given the era’s passive attitude towards autograph collecting and the increased security implemented by Zeppelin’s now legendary manager, Peter Grant, band-signed items remain exceptionally scarce. As such, there are reportedly less than 30 known fully signed Led Zeppelin albums extant, including less than five band-signed examples of House of the Holy. A stunning, inscription-free copy of a classic Led Zeppelin record that represents the first fully signed Houses of the Holy we have ever offered — a supremely rare and elusive rock and roll keepsake not soon to be repeated.
