Outstanding vintage program for the Beatles' 1965 American Tour, with the front cover entitled "Beatles (U.S.A.) Ltd.," and signed neatly above their respective images in black ballpoint by George Harrison, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and Paul McCartney. Published by Souvenir Publishing & Distributing Co., the program measures 12 x 12 and contains 28 pages of images devoted to each member of the Fab Four. In very good to fine condition, with general light handling wear, and some creasing to the covers.
Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, which states: "These signatures are excellent and complete examples, and it would be almost impossible for them to have signed any nicer on that day - which was no ordinary day for them. This program was signed on August 15, 1965, which is the date of their historic first performance at Shea Stadium in Queens, New York, before what was then the largest paying concert audience to that date, with 55,000 people in attendance. This was one of the most important days in the history of The Beatles, and this tour program, autographed on that day, is extremely scarce and highly desirable.” Uninscribed, fully signed 1965 American tour programs are exceedingly rare, with this being only the second we have offered. Signed on the day of their record-breaking historic first concert at Shea Stadium, this program radiates with a palpable element of excitement, an echo of joy and anticipation that’s stayed with this program for over 58 years.
