Group lot of seven original glossy 10 x 8 photos from the Dallas Police Department, each of which contains an image from the crime scene where Dallas Police Officer J. D. Tippit was shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald, who was on the run after killing President John F. Kennedy just 15 minutes prior. The photos show the corner of Tenth Street and Patton Avenue in the Oak Cliff Neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, and include images of Tippit’s patrol car, a smashed Stop sign, and evidence of bloodstains in the street. The reverse of each photo bears a “Bureau of Identification, Police Department, Dallas, Texas” stamp. In overall fine condition, with some light scuffs.
