UPDATE: This description was corrected to state that this is a polyester, rather than silk, scarf.
Vintage white polyester scarf, measuring 34″ x 34″ unfolded, attested to as being worn on stage by Elvis Presley during his massive New Year’s Eve concert at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, on December 31, 1975. The scarf, which is referred to as the ‘square corner signature scarf,’ was purportedly used by Presley between August 1974 and June 1977. The lightweight scarf is entirely plain with the exception of Presley’s facsimile autograph to one corner. In fine, folded condition, with the scarf appearing to exhibit perspiration garnered from Elvis during the performance. Accompanied by a ticket stub from the concert, a 3.5″ pin button with facsimile autograph, a period ‘Special Photo Folio Concert Edition’ program, four vintage 3.5 x 4.75 candid color photos, and a letter of authenticity from Elvis expert Rich Consola, who writes: “In approximately the year 2005 I spoke with two women who attended the Elvis Presley concert held in Pontiac, Michigan on New Year's Eve 1975. During the concert the two women, sitting close to the stage, were able to receive a scarf thrown from the stage by Elvis. This white scarf is one of the scarves I purchased from the two women.”
