President Buchanan appoints Robert Barth, of St. Louis as “Vice-Consul of the Duchy of Nassau for the State of Missouri.” Signed crisply at the conclusion by James Buchanan, and countersigned by Secretary of State Lewis Cass. The embossed white seal remains affixed to the lower left. In fine condition.
