The Alice in Wonderland creator writes to a bookseller, asking for "a list of contents" for a multi-volume set

Third-person ALS, signed within the text, “C. L. Dodgson,” one page on a 4.75 x 3 postcard, November 2, 1890. Handwritten letter to "Messrs. B & J. F. Meehan," booksellers in Bath, in full: "Mr. C. L. Dodgson has received Messrs. Meehan's Catalogue No. 29. He would be glad to have a list of contents of the 7 vols. of Hinton (377), & to see a specimen vol. He w'd pay postage both ways." Addressed on the reverse in Dodgson's own hand. Attractively cloth-matted and framed to an overall size of 9.75 x 8.25, with a window in the backing for viewing the reverse. In fine condition.
