Revolutionary War general (1745-1796) whose daring tactics earned him the nickname ‘Mad Anthony.’ Revolutionary War-dated partly-printed DS, signed “Ant'y Wayne B.G.,” one page, 7.75 x 2, January 24, 1781. Discharge certificate signed by Wayne, in part: "This is to certify that the Bearer John Bryan having served in the 7th Regiment of Pennsylvania during the Term of his Enlistment, is now discharged the Service of the United States of America. Given at Trenton this 24th of Jan'y 1781, five days rations." In fine condition.
