Desirable official merchandise from Paisley Park: a replica of Prince's classic 'tamboracca' musical percussion instrument in yellow and purple, featuring a yellow hexagon shape inset with a purple variation on his classic 'Love Symbol.' Housed in its original box. In very fine condition.
The Purple One first commissioned the musical instrument—a mashup of a tambourine and a pair of maracas—in 1992. At the time, Warner Bros. sent tamboraccas out to press as a promotional item, and Prince also sold them directly to fans through his club, store, and 800 number. The instrument has since become a much sought-after piece of memorabilia. This new version was faithfully recreated in 2017 from the Paisley Park archives and sold as a limited-edition piece. This design is now sold out at Paisley Park and is no longer in production.
