Handwritten list in pencil of wardrobe changes from the 1990 Nude World Tour, written entirely in Prince's hand, who signs within the text, "Prince," on a lightly lined 8 x 10.5 sheet of notebook paper. Addressed to his costume designer Helen Hiatt, the list reads, in full: "Helen: The Dancers: Tony, Damon & Kirk should have 4 changes: 1. Normal starting outfits, 2. Black P. j's (change during Purple Rain), 3. White P. J.'s (change during Dr. Feelgood), 4. English Eccentrics (change during Nothing Compares). Prince Changes: 1. Normal starting outfit, 2. (2 be announced), 3. White P. J.'s (change during Dr. Feelgood), 4. Rolling Stone vibe from last gig (change after Nothing Compares 2 U)." In fine condition, with intersecting folds and scattered creasing.
The Nude Tour was a greatest-hits concert tour that ran from June to September 1990, and played shows in Japan and Europe exclusively. The tour's incredible 21 stops in England likely inspired Prince to add a certain "Rolling Stone vibe" to his wardrobe.
Originally from the collection of costume designer Helen Hiatt and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
