Mayer, director of the Princess's Theatre in London, in part (translated): "I received your letter to-day, and I believe I can answer you on behalf of d'Ennery and I that we accept your proposal. If you want to send 1500 francs to d'Ennery and to me the same sum, we will wait for the balance on the dates which you will indicate, at the end of December and February 15." In fine condition.
Jules Verne and Adolphe d'Ennery collaborated on several occasions to adapt Voyages extraordinaires for the theatre. The Englishman Marcus L. Mayer was in charge of dealing with the sale of these pieces in Anglo-Saxon countries.
