War-dated manuscript document endorsed at the conclusion, “Andrew Jackson, Major Genl Comdg, 7th M. District,” one page, 7.75 x 9.5, October 12, 1814. A directive for transportation issued to Major Henry D. Peire, penned in an administrative hand: “For Transportation of my Baggage from Nashville, Tennessee near Fort Hampton to Mobile 560 Miles...by Order of Major Genl Jackson.” Major Pierre adds two handwritten statements regarding compensation for the baggage transportation. Signed neatly at the conclusion by Andrew Jackson. In very good condition, with old tape stains to the front, and archival tape on the back of complete fold separations.
