Description

ALS, four pages, 4.5 x 7, December 18, 1890. Handwritten letter to Mrs. Charles N. Mead, in part: “I write to ask how soon you could send me another table like that…only with trimmings of rather dark crimson. It is intended for a New Year gift, and I should wish to receive it in time for that. I was disappointed about the table which has been sent me in place of that which I purchased at the Mechanic’s Fair. The table…had four leaves instead of three…I suppose that it was sold under price, on account of its having been at the Fair, but I was surprised to find the substitute for it quite different in form and style. I only mention this, not intending to follow the matter further. Please let me know as soon as convenient about the other one now ordered.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original hand-addressed mailing envelope.
