Dave Scott’s flown 5.75 x 4 American flag that was carried to the moon aboard the Command Module Endeavour during the historic Apollo 15 mission. The flag is mounted and matted with two embroidered patches, two color photos (one of the Scott family and one of CDR Scott saluting the flag during a mission EVA), and a signed and flight-certified letter of authenticity from Scott, who writes: “This is to certify that the attached United States flag was purchased by me prior to the flight of Apollo 15 and was carried onboard Apollo 15 in my Personal Preference Kit (PPK). This flag is from my personal collection and is genuine in all respects.” The entire display is archivally framed to an overall size of 23.75 x 18.75. Includes a second signed letter of authenticity from Scott dated to April 2002. In very fine condition.
