(Bill Melendez Productions, 1983) Wonderful original production cel set-up featuring Snoopy and Charlie Brown, depicting the Peanuts characters in the backyard with Snoopy as ‘The Red Baron’ seated on his 'Sopwith Camel' doghouse. The cels are placed on a matching color copy background, with overall dimensions of 14.75 x 10.75. Includes their original matching production drawings, both accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 13.5 x 10.5 sheets of animation paper, marked “24” and “C6” in the lower right corners. Character images measure 2 x 4.25 (Charlie Brown) and 2.5 x 2.75 (Snoopy). This set-up was produced for a VIT Chocolate Drink sponsorship segment that aired in-show during a Spanish broadcast of an episode of The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show. In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner of one cel. A delightfully rare cel and drawing set-up that only aired in Spain; moreover, Charlie Brown rarely, if ever, appeared in any of Snoopy’s beloved ‘Flying Ace’ sequences.
