Vintage glossy 3.25 x 3.5 candid snapshot photo of Ringo Starr, which was taken by a fan at the former’s Weybridge, Surrey home, ‘Sunny Heights,’ in early 1968, signed vertically in blue ballpoint. The reverse bears Ilford watermarks. The consignor notes that the signature dates to 1968 and that the photograph was taken (and the autograph collected) by an avid Beatles fan who visited their respective homes on a number of occasions in the late 1960s; the fan recalled that ‘they were pretty relaxed about posing for photographs on their own front doorsteps. The first time one of The Beatles opened their door I nearly fainted.” In fine condition, with skipping to the signature, rendering it difficult to read.
