Two items: a vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of the actress, signed in fountain pen, "Sincerely, Gale Sondergaard"; and a TLS, one page, 7 x 10, personal letterhead, no date but with the original mailing envelope, postmarked January 7, 1939, in full: "Thank you for your very nice letter. I am glad you have enjoyed my work in pictures. My next films will be 'Dramatic School,' 'Never Say Die,' and 'Juarez.' A photograph has been sent to you as you requested." In very good to fine condition, with a horizontal strip of silvering across the center of the photo.
