ALS in French, signed “Widor,” penned on the reverse of a 4.25 x 3.25 program for a Notre Dame Cathedral concert featuring Marcel Dupre and Louis Vierne, December 20, 1916. A handwritten letter, in full (translated): “I hope to be able to give you six, or seven tons of anthracite (coal). I await the answer of Monsieur Maspero. Tuesday morning I will have another shipment. I will write to him immediately.” In very good to fine condition, with light scuffing and toning, and a central vertical fold.
