Flown American flag carried into lunar orbit during the Apollo 10 mission [attested to by Susy Young], 6.5 x 4, encapsulated in a tamper-proof sleeve and affixed to a certificate of authenticity signed by Susy Young, the wife of the late Command Module Pilot John Young, in part: "I hereby certify that the flag of the United States of America that accompanies this letter was flown to the Moon aboard the Apollo 10 mission May 18-26, 1969. It has been part of John W. Young's personal collection since returning from the mission." In very fine condition. A magnificent piece from the collection of the legendary American astronaut, who circled the moon on Apollo 10 and walked upon the lunar surface on Apollo 16.
