Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster Sensor Timer Unit Assembly, measuring 12.75″ x 8.75″ x 6.25″, with United Technologies/United Space Boosters labels to the side: “Sensor Timer Unit Assembly, Part No. 10400-0571-107, Ser. No. 1000125, Accept Date. 5/30/89, Wt. (LB) 15.2, Contr. No. NAS8-36300, Mfd By. Teledyne Brown Engineering.” The short sign code is “X31A25A1,” stamped part numbers include “10400-0577-102” and “MRBPV4047399.” The assembly features four ports on one side and three ports on the opposite side. In fine condition.

The Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster was the first solid-propellant rocket to be used for primary propulsion on a vehicle used for human spaceflight. A pair of these provided 85% of the Space Shuttle's thrust at liftoff and for the first two minutes of ascent. After burnout, they were jettisoned and parachuted into the Atlantic Ocean where they were recovered, examined, refurbished, and reused.
