Lot of six vintage photos of noted actors and actresses, ranging in size from 9 x 7 to 8 x 10, each signed and inscribed in ink or fountain pen by the pictured actor: Nelson Eddy (2), Walter Hampden, Osa Johnson, Jeanette MacDonald, and Raymond Massey. Four of the photos are affixed to a same-size cardstock mount. In overall very good to fine condition.
From the autographed portrait collection of Harry Friedgut, the first managing director of the New York City Center of Music and Drama. A champion of New Jersey’s musical arts, Friedgut also served as the first managing director of the Griffith Music Foundation and as the Vice President and Business Manager of the Essex County Symphony Society, through which he directed the Town Hall series and organized the very successful summer stadium concerts.
