Nice group of ephemera from the celebration of the centennial of the establishment of the seat of the federal government in the District of Columbia, including: a handsome engraved invitation for a reception at the Corcoran Gallery of Art given "in honor of the Governors of the States and Territories" on December 12, 1900; a booklet containing "General Orders No. 2" for the "organization, movement, and dismissal of the Centennial parade and escort to the President of the United States"; a listing of the chairs and vice-chairs for various centennial committees; and a ribbon-bound program for the receptions at the White House, Capitol, and Corcoran Art Gallery, printed in color on heavy cardstock (last three pages detached). In overall very good to fine condition.
