Historic official press release of Governor Roosevelt's presidential nomination acceptance speech given at the Democratic National Convention on July 2, 1932, eleven pages, 8.5 x 14, nicely signed at the conclusion in fountain pen, "Franklin D. Roosevelt." A historic address by FDR, expressing his views on government and painting a path for American progress. The speech famously closes: "I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a new deal for the American people. Let us all here assembled constitute ourselves prophets of a new order of competence and of courage. This is more than a political campaign; it is a call to arms. Give me your help, not to win votes alone, but to win in this crusade to restore America to its own people." In fine condition, with a rusty paperclip impression to the last page. Accompanied by a secretarially signed transmittal letter from September 6, 1932, sending the autographed speech.
