ALS signed “Olivia,” two pages, 8.25 x 11, 3 Rue Benouville letterhead, July 25, 1977. Handwritten letter to her Gone With the Wind director George Cukor, thanking him profusely, poetically for his gift of “extraordinary Spanish brooch and earrings,” noting how she looks “at them astonished and enthralled to think they now belong to me, from your hand.” De Havilland continues: “In May, when our NBC…appearance was broadcast, I was in England to do 6 Bible readings for Yorkshire Television’s ‘Stars on Sunday,’ each one of which will be spliced into a separate program and aired on six separate Sundays; I was there, as well, to film an interview for BBC’s documentary on Errol Flynn…This brings you much love, dear George, and my hope that we will see each other soon your beautiful house surrounded by its magic garden.” In fine condition.
