Description

Hungarian-born Austrian founder of Zionism (1860-1904). TLS in German, signed “Herzl,” one page, 8.25 x 11, January 8, 1902. Circular letter to a colleague, sent at the height of his Zionist activities. Sent on behalf of the Va'ad HaPoel of the Histadrut Labor Federation, Herzl issues a call to action to realize the decisions of the Zionist Congress and requests lists of Jewish organizations for weekly delivery of Die-Welt (Zionist movement journal), to spread the concept of Zionism and to unite worldwide Zionist organizations and activists. In very good to fine condition, with small holes, and old tape, to the left edge.
