A United Airlines air atlas booklet, 6 x 10.5, signed and inscribed on the front cover in black felt tip to a flight attendant, “For Lindy, No one would have come on this trip except for all of you — Please always be on the plane I am on, Affectionately, Bobby Kennedy.” Includes three color glossy 3.5 x 3.5 candid photos of Robert F. Kennedy, one of which shows him in front of a large airplane. In very good to fine condition, with some smudging and brushing to the inscription.
Accompanied by a “Schedule of Senator Robert F. Kennedy” for the week of October 21-26, 1966, which lists an Eastern Airlines flight from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles on the 21st, and a copy of a Western Union telegram from an Eastern Airlines executive applauding the efforts of the crew that served Kennedy during his two flights; the names of the attendants, Patricia Smith, Marlene McKenna, and Linda Grant (ostensibly the recipient) were annotated to the lower left. Among the numerous RFK signatures that we have seen over the years, this marks the first example of his informal signature, "Bobby Kennedy," that we have ever offered.
