Piece of an Atlas II rocket engine turbine blade, .5″ x 1.25″ x .25″, encased in a pyramidal 2.5″ x 3″ x 2.5″ block of Lucite with silver text to front: “Atlas Program, 576 Launches, 1957 to 2004.” In fine condition. The first successful test launch of an Atlas missile, the SM-65, was on December 17, 1957, and the last launch of the Atlas IIAS was on August 31, 2004.
