Edgar Hoover, including: three Washington Loan and Trust Company checks, 6.75 x 2.75, each dated to December 1922, all filled out and signed by Hoover with his given name, “John Edgar Hoover”; and a TLS, one page, 6.5 x 9.5, personal FBI letterhead, March 12, 1937, sent to columnist Leonard Lyons of the New York Post, in part: “Mr. Charles E. Ford of the Universal Pictures Corporation asked me to send you the enclosed print taken at the Hauptmann trial.” In overall fine condition. Accompanied by an issue of Time Magazine from August 5, 1935.
