Four items signed by William H. Taft as “Wm. H. Taft,” including three TLSs and a hand-addressed mailing envelope. The letters, each one page, 5.25 x 8.25 and 8.5 x 10.75, personal and United States Circuit Court of Appeals letterhead, date to 1900 and 1908. The mailing envelope, 5.25 x 4.25, postmarked July 11, 1894, is addressed by Taft to his wife, “Mrs. Wm. H. Taft, Pointe-au-Pic, Province of Quebec, Canada.” The 1900 letter is affixed by its left edge to a same-size sheet. In overall very good to fine condition, with a few scattered light stains. Accompanied by a White House invitation issued to “Mr. and Mrs. Hubbell” for “Dancing” on June 19, 1911, the date of the Tafts' silver wedding anniversary (affixed to its original envelope), and two vintage postcards of Taft in the Philippines with his wife.
