United States Marine Corps four-star-general (1915-2003) who had served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Davis was decorated several times, he was awarded the Navy Cross during World War II and the Medal of Honor during the Korean War. Two items: a first edition of the book The Story of Ray Davis, hardcover, published in 1995 by Marine Books, signed on the first free end page in black ballpoint, “Ray Davis, General, USMC (retired), Medal of Honor, Korea War”; and a color glossy 5.75 x 4 postcard showing a Vietnam map with emblems of the various military subdivisions stationed there during the war, signed in blue felt tip, “Ray Davis, General, USMC (ret), Medal of Honor.” In overall fine condition.
