Original color 27 x 41 one sheet movie poster for D. A. Pennebaker’s 1968 concert film Monterey Pop, which documents the historic Monterey International Pop Festival of 1967 and features performances by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Hugh Masekela, Otis Redding, Ravi Shankar, and the Mamas & the Papas. Designed by Tomi Ungerer, the poster shows a half-naked cartoon hippie girl using a bike pump to blow the top off of a large flower with tongue petals. In very good to fine, folded condition, with light creasing, and minor paper loss at fold intersections.
