Scarce vintage glossy 8 x 10.25 photo of Hugh Griffith in his Oscar-winning role as Sheik Ilderim from the 1959 epic film Ben-Hur, signed and inscribed in green ink, "To Rae, with best wishes, Hugh Griffith.” Ink notation to the reverse dates the signature to February 1963. In fine condition, with a few small creases and marks. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from JSA. Griffith remains very rare in authentically signed 8 x10 photos, especially in examples depicting him in his memorable Academy Award-winning role.
