ALS signed “R. Cobden,” one page, 4.5 x 7, June 13, 1851. Handwritten letter to a colonel, in part: "I beg to introduce you to my friend…a Russian gentleman who has taken much interest in the question of prison discipline." In very good to fine condition, with staining from old mounting remnants on the reverse.
